Trek SoHo

My bike is coming together nicely! Jordan dolled it up and unvieled it like it was Christmas morning. These photos remind me of the photos my Dad took of me on my first bike.

Thanks, Jordan.

House Music

Thanks to D.J. O.J., there is so much good music in our house. It never stops singing. And we never stop dancing.

Why Goat's Milk?

Check out Sarah Britton's web page, My New Roots, to read about the benefits of goat's milk. While your there, check out her post on probiotics. Oh, and her recipes are delicious.

Books in Mind

I need to keep a list of books that I want to read. I'm constantly writing titles down on little pieces of scrap paper and then I can't find them. I'll update this post as often as I discover a book I want to read and as I finish a book I'll write up a review.

Currently Reading: Out of the Silent Planet by C.S. Lewis

To Read List:
The Guernesey Literary & Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer
The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot
Cutting for Stone by Abraham Verghese
You Think That's Bad by Jim Shepard
When We Were Strangers by Pamela Schoenewaldt
Under The Mercy Trees by Heather Newton
Rogue Island by Bruce DeSilva
Book Thief by Marcus Zusak
Mr and Mrs Bo Jo Jones by Ann Head
Dharma Bums by Jack Kerouac
Howl & Other Poems by Annen Ginsberg
A Prayer for Owen Meany by John Irving

The Story of Edgar Sawtelle by David Wroblewski

City Stroll

We've been strolling the city streets on the sunny days we've been getting lately. It's fun to see the different landscapes that Portland neighborhoods have. The dogs have a blast spotting the cats and squirrels that try to stay out of sight.

A Few Favorites

Here are a few of my favorite pictures from our drive out West. There are lots to choose from, but today these made me smile.

Dream Big

We are headed to Big Sur for my birthday weekend. A week long road trip through Southern Oregon into Northern California. There are a few towns I want to stop in along the way and Jordan has a friend, Matthew, in San Fransico I finally get to meet. We both met Matthew's brother, T.J., when we stayed a night in Seattle just over a year ago. T.J. and his wife, Olivia, gave us a warm welcome as we chatted over tea. From what I hear Matthew and his family are amazing and I can't wait to meet them.

Here are a few photos of where we are stayinging in Big Sur. My heart is beating fast for this spot. I can't wait.
